Terms and Conditions of Service

The following Terms and Conditions, including costs, deposits, cancellation and disclaimer, apply to both the Trading Names of Moving by Appointment Ltd and Clutterbee (herewith: ‘We’, ‘Our’, ‘Us’, ‘Website(s), ‘MBA Ltd’’
Engagement of our services acknowledges your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Confidentiality

We provide a personal and confidential service. Client details will not be disclosed to any third party without the express permission of the client, normally with written consent though on occasion by verbal consent/request, by the individual concerned or the individual authorized to give consent on behalf of any organisation or business unit.

Prices for Service, Deposits and Cancellation

All prices for services on this website are for within the London Postal areas only and will be re-confirmed either verbally or by email with the client. For outside this area costs will be determined on an individual basis. Travel costs will be added for any booking requiring travel of more than 30 minutes or 5 miles, whichever is the least.
Where an initial consultation is required this is charged at £80 and normally lasts 1.5 hours.
Fees must be paid at the time of the session unless otherwise arranged with us.
Payment must be made by cash, or bank transfer.
The minimum booking is for 3 hours and this is only available within 5 miles of the London N22 postal district unless otherwise agreed in advance.

A 50% deposit for the first day of any booking (minimum payment of 3 hours) shall be made by the client within 72 hours of the booked session. Should the deposit not be received on time, or on request the booking will be cancelled.
Cancellation:-

Both we and the client have the right to cancel due to unforeseen circumstances. If the client cancels with less than 48 hours notice of the agreed date and time, a charge of 50% of the agreed fee for the first session (minimum of 3 hours) shall be levied. At less than 36 hours of the booked time the entire deposit is retained. At our discretion we will endeavor to re-credit your account if the appointment is re-scheduled within 1 month of cancellation.

Disclaimer

We undertake to make reasonable endeavours in providing advice and encouragement in the De-cluttering and Organising process. Ultimately it is the client’s decision to keep items or to let them go. We can accept no responsibility for actions the client takes or instructs us to take on the basis of that advice or encouragement or their consequences whether this be at the time of the consultation, engagement in the Organising, Moving or De-Cluttering process or at any subsequent or future date following any engagement or consultation.

We are not valuers of art or other items of special value or rarity and by engaging us the client acknowledges that they the client accept responsibility for keeping or letting go (whether by charity donation, auction or other disposal) of any such items. Clients are advised to seek their own valuations of any items in the Organising, Moving or De-Cluttering process.

We handle items with care. In the case of accidental damage or loss howsoever caused the client acknowledges and accepts that we will not be held liable and the client and or their agents or representatives will cover the loss or damage howsoever caused in our engagement. Clients are also advised to ensure they have adequate insurance cover for their possessions before, during and after engaging Moving by Appointment Ltd and Clutterbee.
